Two ways to close the door.

You can delete the Yue data that lives on your device yourself, and you can ask us to delete the small amount of Yue data that lives on our servers. Both are quick.

On your device

Reset Yue from Settings

Open Yue, tap the gear icon at the top-right of any screen to reach Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap Reset all data on this device. This clears your due date, birth date, partner details, disclaimer acceptance, pantry, recipe opt-outs, and any local sign-in state. You will see onboarding again. Your data on this device is gone permanently and cannot be recovered from a server.

You can also clear the website data through your browser’s settings, which has the same effect for the website version of Yue.

On our servers

Ask us to delete the rest

A small amount of Yue data is stored on our servers (Supabase, in the Netherlands). This includes:

To delete this data, email hello@yuesaozi.com with the subject line Delete my Yue account. Send the email from the address you want deleted, so we can verify it is you. We will confirm completion within five working days.

We do not retain a backup of deleted data. The deletion is permanent. Once it is done, any active cross-device sign-in for that email will stop working.

A note on what we cannot delete

Records that we are legally required to keep: payment receipts processed by Mollie are retained for seven years per Dutch tax law. These are held by Mollie, not by Yue, and contain the payment ID, amount, currency, and the email you used at checkout. They are not accessible to us beyond what Mollie shows in its merchant dashboard, and Mollie’s own privacy policy describes how to request deletion from them directly.
