Green (unripe) papaya 青木瓜
peeled, deseeded, cubed
300g (3 sections)
Lotus root (fresh or frozen) 莲藕
peeled, sliced

Raw peanuts (skin on) 花生

2 cloves
Garlic 蒜
crushed
6 to 8 dates
Red dates (jujube) 红枣
2 tbsp
Light soy sauce 生抽
Method · 做法

Bring 2L of water to a boil. Add garlic, lotus root, ribs, papaya, peanuts, and red dates.

Return to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.

Add the soy sauce just before serving. Eat warm with rice.
