Chicken legs (skin-on) 鸡腿
or 200g lean pork
20g (dried slices)
Dried Chinese yam slices 淮山
10g
Astragalus root 黄芪
5 dates
Red dates (jujube) 红枣
pitted
2 slices
Old ginger 老姜
to taste
Sea salt 盐
Method · 做法

Blanch chicken (or pork) in boiling water 3 min. Drain.

Combine all ingredients with 1.5L water in a clay pot or stockpot.

Bring to a boil, skim, then simmer covered on low for 80 to 90 minutes.

Salt at the table; serve hot.
